The dashboard that sorts out your clinic, and the node that holds up the neighbourhood network
Medical records, schedule, inventory, and quotes in a single dashboard. You file the consultation once and everything else comes out of it: the next appointment, the alert for the dose coming up, and the quote, without typing the same thing twice. And because Caramelito is also the free app a neighbour uses to report an animal on the street, your clinic sits on the map that neighbour opens every day.
- You file the consultation once and out of it come the record, the schedule, and the alert for the next dose. Nothing gets typed into a spreadsheet again.
- You stop calling people one by one about their check-up: the alert reaches the owner on the day it is due, and whoever falls behind shows up in a list to follow up. Every missed dose is a client who did not come back.
- And your clinic is the node where the loop closes: without a vet in the area there is nowhere to refer an animal, and without that the app is no use to anyone. The network exists in your city because you are there.
What the dashboard does
Eight features and one record: what you file during the consultation feeds the schedule, the reminder, the quote, and the inventory without you typing it twice.
Medical records
Consultations, vaccines, surgeries, and studies on a per-patient timeline, with the next due date.
Automatic reminders
File a vaccine with a next dose and the app notifies the owner before it is due. And sending that alert does not cost you per message: no credits to buy and no monthly cap, so the month you treat twice as many patients, telling them costs the same. Nobody has to pick who gets told.
Schedule
Today’s and this week’s appointments, each with its state: booked, confirmed, treated, no-show.
- Quotes
- Build the quote from your own price list, with tax and billing details, and email it to the owner.
- Inventory
- Medicines, vaccines, and supplies with restock thresholds and expiry dates. Scan the barcode and the movement is logged.
- Map profile
- Address, hours, and who takes emergencies, visible in the app from day one. When someone nearby is looking for where to take an animal at two in the morning, yours is the clinic that shows up.
- Incoming referrals
- Cases sent by rescuers arrive as an inbox, with species, summary, and contact.
- Reports near the clinic
- See what is happening in the neighbourhood to anticipate demand and grow the community.
What comes with it, beyond the dashboard
You install nothing and there is no server to maintain: the dashboard opens in the browser you already use, on your phone too. Data security and infrastructure are on us, which is what we do for a living, instead of on a team with animals waiting to be seen. And we train your staff until they use it without asking: nobody has to learn a new system on their own.
The loop closes on itself
The admin work the clinic already does is what feeds the app’s reminders and the community that reports. No double entry.
- 1
Report
A neighbour files the case from the app.
- 2
Rescue
The nearest rescuer answers the alert.
- 3
Referral
The case lands in the clinic’s dashboard with its context.
- 4
Treatment
The vet treats the animal and files the record.
- 5
Medical record
Vaccines, check-ups, and treatments are all dated.
- 6
Reminders
The app notifies you of the next dose or check-up.
- 7
Community
The neighbour comes back to the app and reports the next case.
Free for life for the first ten in your city
We are looking for the first ten clinics in each city, and for them the full dashboard is free for life. This is not a launch promotion or a price that goes up next year: your clinic never pays.
In exchange we ask for three things, and only three. That you actually use it, because an empty dashboard is no use to anyone. That you tell us what is missing when something is missing, with a message and not with a meeting. And that you tell your clients the app exists, because they are the ones who make the network work in your city.
The reason for the offer is simple and we would rather say it: without clinics in a city there is nowhere to refer an animal, and without that the app is no use to the neighbours there. The first ten are the ones who make the network exist. The ones who come after will pay, and that is what will keep the app free for neighbours.
No contract and no card. If it does not work for you, you leave whenever you want and you take your records exported.
What it does not do yet
No electronic invoicing yet: quotes come out with tax and billing details, but the fiscal invoice you keep issuing wherever you issue it today. It does not handle inpatient care either. We are saying it here and not in the fine print, because finding out in the first week would be worse for both of us.
Frequently asked questions
Who pays for treating a rescued animal?
The rescuer and the clinic agree on it before the case is accepted, and the call is yours: every referral is accepted or declined with one tap, and declining one costs you nothing. Caramelito does not send you free work, it sends you a case with its context so you can decide with the facts in front of you. And most rescues arrive with a rescuer or an adopter who takes responsibility, and that adopter is the client who comes back for the next check-up.
If it is free for life, what will you charge me later?
Nothing. For life means for life, for your clinic. The first ten in each city never pay, and the ones who come after do: those subscriptions are what will keep the app free for neighbours. We are saying it now instead of when the invoice arrives, because we would rather you knew from day one.
Do the reminders cost anything per message?
No. No credits to buy, no monthly cap: the month you treat twice as many patients, telling them costs you the same. When every alert has a price you start choosing who gets one, and the ones who never got told are the ones who never come back. The alert does land in the app, so the owner needs it installed. And that is where your clinic grows the network: you give them the reason to install it, and they end up inside the neighbourhood that reports.
Do only the clinics using the dashboard show up on the map?
No. The map holds every clinic in the area we confirmed exists, whether you use the dashboard or not, because a map with holes is no use to the neighbour looking for somewhere to go at two in the morning. What the dashboard changes is where the case lands: without it you get a phone call and you write the name in the notebook on the counter, and with it you get the case along with the animal's record, and three months in you know which dose is due and who to tell. A rescue gets referred to a clinic that has somewhere to receive it, so without the dashboard the profile stays at name, address and phone. What you pay for is not showing up, it is not losing track of whoever already came in.
Will this bring me new patients?
That is what the loop is built for: the map puts you in front of whoever needs somewhere to take a rescue, whoever wants to know which clinics are nearby, and whoever only uses the app for their own pet's record. Each of them is a possible client, and every animal you treat leaves with a medical record and an owner who comes back for the next check-up. And there is something you can measure from the first month: the dashboard tells you how many of your patients exist because someone found you in the app, and how many came back for the next check-up. If the number is zero, you will see it before we do. We are still putting the first group of clinics together, so we are not going to promise you a number.
Will my clients see other clinics in the app?
Yes, the same way they see them today on the map on their phone. What changes is that the record for that pet is in your dashboard, the appointment is already booked with you, and the reminder for the next dose goes out with your name on it. The map is neutral on purpose: that is why the app gets installed by the neighbour who is nobody's client yet, and that neighbour is exactly the one who is not yours. No clinic can pay to rank first or to stand out there, and that protects you too. The dashboard tells you how many of your patients exist because someone found you in the app. If the number is zero, you will see it before we do.
Do I have to migrate all my data?
Do not migrate anything. Start with the next patient who walks through the door, with the system you already have running alongside. Your history stays where it is and you look it up there when you need it: the dashboard fills itself, because every consultation you handle writes a record, and when a case arrives from the app the record comes with whatever the owner already entered. Old files move over whenever you want, one at a time or never, and we train your team along the way. No contract and no card: if it is not working for you two months in, you leave and you take your records exported.
Where does my subscription go?
To infrastructure and to the work still ahead. Notifications are not on that list, because sending them does not cost us per message and so it does not cost you either. There are no ads and no data selling: clinic subscriptions are the only revenue, and they are what keeps the app free for neighbours and rescuers. The first ten in each city never pay, so this answer is for the ones who come after.
What happens to the data of treated animals?
The medical record belongs to the clinic that files it. The owner sees a summary and their reminders in the app; nothing is published to the feed.
What state is the project in?
The mobile app is in development with the report and rescue loop working, and the clinic dashboard is at this stage running on demonstration data.
